Instructions - Index - Next Week - Previous Week - Bridge Base

This week's deal features an instructive defensive play by Eric Kokish designed to make his partner's life easier. Eric is an international bridge coach, writer and player. He can be contacted through e-mail. In this case Fred Gitelman, President of Bridge Base Inc. was his partner. The hand took place at the recent Cap Gemini World Top Pairs in The Netherlands. Their opponents were Henri Szwarc and Marc Bompis of France. Bompis and Szwarc were part of France's winning team in the 1996 World Teams Olympiad in Rhodes, Greece. Complete coverage (including Online Vugraph) of the 1997 Cap Gemini, the 1996 Olympiad, and other major tournaments is available through this web site.

It seems that several people have not read the instructions for this software and have become confused. If you do not want to read the instructions, here are two useful hints:

  1. Use the Next button, not the Play button to go forward.
  2. Look for thebutton in the lower right corner of the text area. When you see this symbol it means there is more text to read before you click the Next button. Click thebutton to display the next page of text.
